Endorsements mean a lot in a political campaign. And Craig has gotten plenty of them (Click Here to see the list) including the Sacramento Bee, the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Associtation, Sen. Tim Leslie and Talk Show Host Eric Hogue.

But is it really enough just to know that a few well known people are willing to say they support a candidate? Shouldn’t we know more?… Like why they are supporting them?

Here is what just a few elected officials, community activists, friends and coworkers have to say about Craig DeLuz:

Elected officials

“I have had the pleasure to work with Craig in several different capacities. And I can say with complete confidence that he is ready to govern on day one.”

Sen. Tim Leslie (Ret)

“ He has proven that when it comes to making tough choices, his conservative values will guide him as he faces the tough decisions facing the state legislature.”

Assemblyman Chris Norby

Craig has the heart of a true public servant. He’s worked in communities most of us wouldn’t go anywhere near. He’s fought in the trenches advocating for school choice, defending private property rights, protecting marriage and preserving innocent life. He’s been a voice for the voiceless. I believe that more than qualifies him to serve in the California Assembly.”

Assemblyman Larry Bowler (Ret)

“Craig’s conservative principles are evident in all that does.”

Assemblyman Danny Gillmore

“Craig’s record in the legislature and on the school board exemplifies bipartisanship and a true understanding of issues facing education. At a time when education reform is desperately needed, Craig has proven to possess the experience that will make a difference.”

Brian Cooley, member of the Sacramento County Board of Education

“It has been my pleasure to serve with Craig DeLuz on the Robla School District Board of Trustees. Craig is a true community leader. His legislative experience coupled has been a true asset and his wisdom always keeps his goals aimed at providing the highest quality education for all. Craig has spearheaded implementing programs that provide special focus for students that need the extra helping hand for success. I proudly endorse Craig De Luz for State Assembly, knowing that his ideals would be for the good and benefit of all Californians, just as he has so unselfishly worked for our students. “

Dennis Boyd Vice-President Board of Trustees Robla School District

Community Activists

“Craig is the real thing. He’s a conservative who not only talks the talk, but also walks the walk.”

Eric Hogue, Host of the Capitol Hour on 1380 KTKZ

Craig has shown himself to be a powerful advocate for California taxpayers.”

Jon Coupal, Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association

“I’ve got to compliment Craig, because he was one of the few who came out and was willing to stand with us when nobody else was “That’s the kind of leadership we need in this state.”

Mark Meckler, California Tea Party Leader

“Craig DeLuz is an outspoken friend for the taxpayer and possesses the ability to communicate our conservative principles with uncommon power and clarity. We need to elect legislators who are not afraid to stand up against those who would tax California into oblivion. Vision, experience and commitment to conservative principles pretty much sum up Craig DeLuz.”

Lew Uhler, National Tax Limitation Committee

”Craig understands the challenges small business owners face here in California.”, said Montgomery. “He has been a powerful advocate for employers.”

Mark Montgomery, California Small Business Alliance

“When I think of the challenges facing the State of California, it becomes clear to me, that just being honest is not enough. Integrity is required. Integrity is the possession of firm principles. Integrity is the ability to stay consistent and undivided even under adversity. Craig Deluz is a man of firm principles. Craig Deluz has the proven ability to stay consistent and undivided. Craig Deluz is just what the State of California needs. Craig Deluz is a man of integrity.”

Walter Hoye II, Founder, Issues4Life Foundaiton

“For years, Craig has been a grassroots GOP warrior. He has served our party at the local level for years. And for those who feel “dues” are a standard to gain support, he has put in his dues ten times over. He has proven himself. He has not only stood strong on our conservative principles, but he has done so in communities where most Republicans dare not tread. He is doing the very thing many in our party have only talked about doing…he is reaching out. And he has done so with success!”

Ben Lopez, Family Values Advocate & Past President of Young Republicans Federated, California

Coworkers

“Craig DeLuz is a man of integrity who brings a much-needed honesty to California’s Republican Party. His finely honed ability to communicate coupled with his desire to reach beyond party lines will play a significant role in California’s future.”

Ken Devore, Captiol Director, California State Senate

“I engaged Craig as an editor and writer for the Sacramento edition of the Red County political blogs. I found his editorial contributions to be knowledgeable, insightful, relevant, and interesting. I have learned to respect his judgment on political matters and appreciate his passion for community involvement.”

Scott Graves, Publisher RedCounty.com

“I worked with Craig for almost 2 years in Assemblyman Kevin Jeffries office. In this time, I was able to discover the strength of Craig’s character. He is an excellent leader who stands behind his beliefs. He was not only my boss, but he also become a good friend of mine. Though we did disagree on certain political issues, Craig always respected my beliefs and listened to my concerns. He is very passionate about making a difference not only in his community, but other communities as well. I believe that Mr. DeLuz would be an excellent representative for the 5th Assembly District.”

Katharine Weir, Legislative Assistant, California State Assembly, Office of Assemblyman Kevin Jeffries

“I have known Craig DeLuz since the first year I came into the Robla School District as Superintendent. Craig became a school board member re-presenting the area of the District he resides in. Craig has been Board President and a very active and informed Board member. I highly support Craig DeLuz as a fair minded and hard working candidate for the California Assembly!”

Ralph Friend, Superintendent, Robla School District

“Craig is one of the most passionate people I’ve ever met. He pours his heart and soul into supporting the people, policies, and programs he believes in and, most importantly, he does it with integrity and respect.”

Tyler Wade, Various positions, California State Legislature

Friends

“I have had the pleasure of knowing and working with Craig DeLuz for just about 9 years. I have always known him to be a man of integrity, a man of his word, and someone who is not afraid to stand up for what he believes in. I think that’s what I admire most about Craig , he’s willing to stand up for a cause when everyone else is too worried about what the implications might be. I also know Craig to be an awesome husband to his wife Sobna and a very devoted father to his two children, Craig Jr. and Jazmine. I believe, unequivocally, that Craig represents the type of leadership we need in our state government today.”

Linda Cano, Executive Assistant, State of California

“I have known and worked with Craig for nearly seven years. Apart from being the man to look to “to get things done,” Craig is a gracious, honest and humble leader. I proudly endorse and support Craig DeLuz!”

Jeff Allen, Associate Information Systems Analyst, Office of Systems Integration

“I’ve known Craig since College. I have always known him to be an honest & intelligent person who will do what his heart says is right. He is strong in his convictions in both his faith & his political beliefs. If Craig says he will do something you can count in him doing it. His faith & love for his family add to his strong character. I would have no reservations for supporting Craig in whatever direction God moves him in.”

Eddie Steininger, District Manager, California Chamber of Commerce

“Since first meeting with Craig in 1994, I have had many opportunities to work with him on a wide range of community focused projects from civic journalism as co-founder of the community-based newspaper The North Sacramento Union, to nutrition awareness as part of an annual, statewide Social Marketing training for community based non-profits. I am continuously impressed by Craig’s focus and dedication to the communities he serves and to the selfless help he offers others, no matter their need or their political affiliation, Craig is there to do what he can to improve their lives and the lives of anyone who needs a helping hand. Whether its his reputation as a teacher, as a school board member, as a proud father, as a public speaker, as a community organizer, Craig continues to be a leader at every aspect of life and faith. There is no better friend, no better man, no better candidate for the position of State Assemblyman for California’s District 5.”

As the race comes down the final stretch, Craig DeLuz continues to pick up endorsements in his campaign to represent the voters of California’s Fifth Assembly District. Organizations, leaders and publications from across the ideological spectrum are coming together in agreement on one thing – Craig DeLuz is the best candidate for the Fifth Assembly District.

Today, Craig announced receiving the endorsement of the Sacramento Observer Newspaper, one of the oldest Black publications in the country. He also announced the endorsement of Karen England, one of California’s leading pro-family advocates. Finally, Craig received the official endorsement of the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA).

“I think these endorsements just go to show that my values as a conservative do resonate across ideological and cultural lines”, said Craig. “People of all backgrounds want to protect the family and our children and that is exactly what I plan to do when I get in the Assembly.”

The Sacramento Observer is one of America’s premier black newspapers, with more than 40 years of successful newspaper publishing. The Observer brings with it a real understanding of the nation’s African American community: its rich history; the legendary institutions; the dynamic arts & culture; and continually emerging people.

“Dr. Lee and the Observer Newspaper represent a significant piece of Sacramento’s rich and diverse history.” Notes Craig. “I am honored to have their support.”

Karen England is known throughout the state as a legislative and grassroots warrior for family and children. As the Executive Director of the Capitol Resources Institute, she has led the fight to defend parent’s rights in our public schools. Specifically, she is working to end school district policies that allow students as young as 12 years old to leave school for “confidential medical services” without their parents’ knowledge or consent.

“Karen is a dynamic voice for parents and children.” Stated DeLuz, “I’m proud to have worked with her to protect our parental rights; right here in this community. That is why her endorsement means so much to me.”

ACSA was established in 1971 and is the largest umbrella organization for school leaders in the nation, serving more than 16,000 school leaders. The mission of ACSA is to support California’s educational leaders; ensure all students have the essential skills and knowledge needed to excel; and champion public education.

The time has come for us to make accountability, flexibility and parental involvement priorities in education again”, declared DeLuz. “I look forward to working with California’s educational leaders to bring greatness back to our educational system.”

Craig is a member of the Robla School Board, located in North Sacramento. He also serves as Deputy Chief of Staff for Assemblyman Kevin Jeffries and was a classroom teacher in the former Grant Joint Unified School District. He is the proud parent of two children who attend public school in Sacramento.

This live talk show will air once a week, with each episode covering a specific topic. Listeners will be given the opportunity to hear Craig’s take on key issues facing our state and even call in to ask him questions on how he plans to address them.

If you want to share your thoughts or ask a question, the call in number is: (347) 826-9116.

Week 5- My Vision for California

This is the last show before election day. So we will talk about exactly what it is that Craig would like to do once he gets in the Assembly. He will also articulate exactly how he plans to do it.

The show starts at 8 am (PDT)

Week 4- Reviving The Economy…

This week, California Democrats proposed almost $5 billion in new taxes, which if approved will most assuredly prolong the current economic downturn. The only way to turn this fiscal crisis around is to revive the economy and bring jobs back to California.

This week, Craig will be sharing ideas on how to revive the economy and bring jobs back to California.

The show starts at 8 am (PDT)

Week 3- Education: California’s Race to the Bottom…

As another academic year comes to an end, California policy makers are preparing to compete for the second round of federal “Race To The Top” funding. The question before them is whether or not they are serious about reforming our educational system? History dictates that those in charge of the State Legislature are unwilling to take on the educational establishment in order to bring about meaningful change.

Tune in as Craig, a former classroom teacher and current school board member shares his thoughts on how we can make work for all students.

The show starts at 8 am (PDT) **PLEASE NOTE THE TIME CHANGE**

Week 2- Balancing the Budget: Can it be done?

This week the Governor is preparing to release his May revisions to the 2010-11 budget. And it is likely to be ugly. For years, the California Legislature and the Governor have put off making tough choices when it comes to balancing the state budget. Utilizing a combination of debt and accounting gimmicks they managed to dig the state into a budget hole that seems impossible to overcome.

Tune in as Craig talks about how we got in this mess and shares some of his ideas on how we get out.

The show starts at 9 am (PDT) **PLEASE NOTE THE TIME CHANGE**

Week 1- Let’s Talk Immigration

Ever since the Arizona passed legislation empowering law enforcement officers to actually enforce immigration law in their state, the entire nation seems to be split on the issue.

Listen in as Craig and his callers talk about the issue of illegal immigration, it’s impact on California and how a law such as the one passed in Arizona could effect the whole discussion.

The show starts at 8 am (PDT)

Craig DeLuz is proud to announce that the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) have endorsed his candidacy for California’s Fifth Assembly District Seat.

ACSA was established in 1971 and is the largest umbrella organization for school leaders in the nation, serving more than 16,000 school leaders. The mission of ACSA is to support California’s educational leaders; ensure all students have the essential skills and knowledge needed to excel; and champion public education.

“The time has come for us to make accountability, flexibility and parental involvement priorities in education again”, declared DeLuz. “I look forward to working with California’s educational leaders to bring greatness back to our educational system.”

ACSA joins a bipartisan group of local education leaders in supporting Craig DeLuz. They include Sacramento County Board of Education member, Brian Cooley; Sacramento City School Board Member, Roy Grimes; Center Unified School Board Member, Donald Wilson; as well as Robla School Board Members Dennis Boyd and Kim Howard.

Support the Platform (STP) was founded to support candidates who support Republican values. Well, they have officially announced their support for Assembly District Five candidate, Craig DeLuz

“Apart from being the man to look to ‘to get things done,’ Craig is a gracious, honest and humble leader.“ Stated Jeff Allen, Chairman of Support the Platform, “I proudly endorse and support Craig DeLuz!”

STP was founded in 2006 to help repair a Republican Party fractured by people and political interests insisting that the Republican Party adopt Liberal philosophies in order to “grow” the Party. As a founding member, Craig has worked with STP to maintain a continuous barrage of political challenges to these interests, while persuading listeners to advance the conservative notion of limited government.STP believes that adherence to the principles established through our Nation’s founding documents is the best solution for “All Americans to achieve the American Dream!”

“For years, I have stood with Support the Platform to help advance Republican principles of limited government and family values.” Said DeLuz, “I am proud to have them standing with me now.”

Throughout his 15 years of service as a conservative community leader. Craig has fought against wasteful spending, bigger government and higher taxes.

California’s leading motorcycle rights advocacy group has thrown it’s support behind Craig DeLuz in the race for California’s Fifth Assembly district. The American Brotherhood Aimed Toward Education (ABATE) of California has made it clear that Craig represents their values.

“Craig share’s our commitment to individual liberty and limited government.” said James Lombardo, Senior Legislative Director for ABATE. ” He’s been there for us on our issues, so we plan to be there for him.”

ABATE came into existance to educate riders on road safety and awareness, as well as to advocate against over-expansive government regulation on motorcycle riders. Their current issues include fighting proposed smog check requirements for motorcycles and advocating for reasonable modifications to California’s helmet law.

“Like the rest of us, the members of ABATE want less government.” stated Craig. “Freedom of the road, freedom of speech and free enterprise all emanate from the same inalienable rights. And it’s time that liberals came to understand the bigger government gets, the more it impedes these rights.”

Throughout his 15 years of service as a conservative leader. Craig has fought against wasteful spending, bigger government and higher taxes. Craig serves as a member of the Robla School Board, one of the highest performing districts in the city of Sacramento. He lives with his wife and two children in North Sacramento.

“Small business is the engine of our economy.” Points out Craig, “We need to ensure that we create an environment where they can thrive and create jobs. That is the only way we will end the fiscal crisis we are currently experiencing.”

Today, Craig DeLuz announced yet another grassroots community endorsement. Scott and Lorena Juceam, Founders of the Hanna Rose Foundation have pledged their support to Craig DeLuz in his bid to represent the voters of California’s Fifth Assembly District.

Since the 2006 death of their daughter, the Juceams have been on a crusade to raise awareness about how easy it is for children to be harmed by a frustrated parent or caretaker. Named after their 15 month old child who died after being shaken by her nanny, The Hannah Rose Foundation was founded to educate people on the dangers of Shaken Baby Syndrome (SBS).

“As fierce advocates for children we see many people who run for office that use slogans and promises to gain your trust and your vote. After careful consideration we are endorsing Craig DeLuz as the best person for the 5th district in the California Assembly.” Stated Scot Juceam, “We urge everyone to vote for Craig and you will actually get what you vote for.”

“Scott and Lorena have saved countless lives by educating parents and policy makers on the dangers of Shaken Baby Syndrome.” Stated Craig, “I am humbled to have their support, and pledge to work hand-in-hand with them to help protect our children.”

Craig has long been an advocate for children. He is a former classroom teacher and currently serves as a member of the Robla School Board, one of the highest performing districts in the city of Sacramento. He lives with his wife and two children in North Sacramento.

The largest newspaper in the Sacramento Region has completed it’s endorsement process and concluded that Craig DeLuz, is “The best choice for GOP voters.”

They point to his 15 years of service within the community as the key factor in their endorsement. “DeLuz’s roots run deep in the district. He has served on the Robla school board, and he is schooled in the ways of the Capitol, serving now as a top aide to Assemblyman Kevin Jeffries, a Riverside Republican.”

“I’m glad to see that the Sacramento Bee recognizes how my commitment to conservative principles and community service make me the right fit for the district.” Said DeLuz. “I’ve shown up when others, including Republicans haven’t and I have fought for what I believe is right. I think that is the kind of leadership voters are looking for.”

Throughout his 15 years of service as a conservative leader, Craig has fought against wasteful spending, bigger government and higher taxes. As a member of the Robla School Board, he has been instrumental in helping students succeed and passing balanced budgets year after year, a feat he hopes to duplicate in the state assembly.

Craig also enjoys the support of conservative leaders and organizations including Sen. Tim Leslie (Ret.), Lew Uhler of the National Tax Limitation Committee, the Sacramento Metropolitan Young Republicans and the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association.

The California State Assembly’s newest Republican member, Chris Norby has officially announced his support for Craig DeLuz, candidate for the California’s Fifth Assembly District. In his endorsement, Norby pointed to Craig’s experience as a local elected official and legislative consultant stating that they uniquely qualified him to serve in the assembly.

“Craig’s experience as an elected school board member has given him a better understanding of how decisions made in the legislature affect real people. “ stated Norby, “ He has proven that when it comes to making tough choices, his conservative values will guide him as he faces the tough decisions facing the state legislature.”

Norby, who won a special election to fill the seat left vacant by the sudden resignation of Michael Duval has been a strong advocate for fiscal reform. As author of “Redevelopment: The Unknown Government,” Norby has analyzed the distortions caused by fiscalization of land use, sales tax competition and eminent domain abuse. Local government fiscal reform will be among his top priorities in the legislature.

Norby served on the Orange County Board of Supervisors for 7 years as well as the Fullerton City Council from 1984-2002, including three years as Mayor.

“Assemblyman Norby’s endorsement truly means a lot to me.” Shared Craig, “And I share his commitment to bringing fiscal sanity back to California.”

Throughout his 15 years of service as a conservative leader. Craig has fought against wasteful spending, bigger government and higher taxes. As a member of the Robla School Board, he has been instrumental in passing balanced budgets year after year, a feat he hopes to duplicate in the state assembly.
